The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, met on May 11 at the Brethren Church in Madison with the president, Mrs. George Bryson, presiding.

The speaker for the afternoon, introduced by Mrs. Dan Shackelford was Mrs. Dorothy Bertron, who showed a number of antique sewing implements describing their use. She, also, had some samplers handmade in the 1800’s.

Mrs. Dale Metzinger, delegate to the 108th Continental Congress held in Washington, D.C. in April, reported on the various events.

The June 8 meeting is to be a bus trip to Mount Vernon to honor the 200th anniversary of the death of George Washington. For further information contact Mrs. Shackelford.
