Youth quilting class to begin
There will be a youth beginning quilting class at the Rappahannock Extension Office after school Monday, May 24 and June 7. Ellen Manson of the Yarn and More Shop located in Washington has graciously offered this wonderful opportunity. There may be a small cost for this once in a lifetime, fun workshop. This workshop is sponsored by 4H. Call the Extension Office at 675-3619 to register.
Ragged Mountain activities set
The following activities have been scheduled through Ragged Mountain Resource Center. More information may be obtained by calling Hunt Harris at 987-3366.
Saturday, May 22: Hughes River Clean-up Project. Anyone interested in working together to clean the Hughes River from the Shenandoah National Park Boundary to the confluence with the Hazel River should contact Hunt Harris at 987-3366. This will be from early morning to late afternoon, and anyone participating is welcome to join the TFR party.
Saturday, May 22: Trash Free Rappahannock ‘99 Party John Kiser will be hosting this year’s TFR party at his home at the end of Popham’s Ford Road off Rt. 707. Call John at 987-8445 if interested in attending or helping.
Saturday, May 29: Trash Art Exhibit at Middle Street Gallery, May 29, 30 and 31. Call 675-3267 to enter.
Basketball camp planned
Final registration is now open for the Ten Star All Star Basketball Camp. Boys and girls ages 10-18 are eligible. Players are selected by invitation only. College basketball scholarships are possible for the most advanced players. For an evaluation form and camp locations call 704-3728610, anytime.
