Wakefield Country Day School was recently commended by the National Latin Exam committee for its “excellent instruction” of the classic languages.
A number of Wakefield students performed well in recent exams. Among students from Rappahannock County, Stephen Dowell, Thomas Dowell, Christina Luke and Arlen Sherwood were awarded Silver, Maxima Cum Laude. Morgan Roach received Magna Cum Laude. David Riedel won an outstanding achievement award, and Sara Hathaway was awarded a special certificate of achievement.
