Over 8,900 students from the United States, Canada, Switzerland and Australia competed in the exam. Dorian Matthews was awarded a pin of excellence. Roach, Stephen Dowell, Katherine Guiffre, Benjamin Luke and Natalie Miller all won certificates of excellence.

enjoy field day
Seventh grade students from Rappahannock, Culpeper, Greene, Madison and Orange Counties recently gathered at Lightbum Farms in Madison County for a seventh grade conservation field day.
The hands-on learning day was sponsored by the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District (CSWCD), whose mission is “To promote the stewardship of soil, water, and the conservation of our natural resources by educating and providing technical assistance to manage, protect, and enhance the land and water for the benefit and enjoyment of the citizens of Culpeper, Greene, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock Counties.”
Professionals from Rappahannock Conservation Council,, CSWCD, Virginia Department of Forestry, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Virginia Cooperative Extension, and the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries participated in helping students appreciate the importance and diversity of the world they live in.
