The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company’s carnival is set for June 2326. The parade is held on Thursday, June 24. Crowning of the Queen, Junior Miss and Little Miss will be on Friday evening. Drawings for the raffles will be held on Saturday.
Contestants are still needed for the Queen, Junior Miss, and Little Miss. Call Sandi Carter at 937-4218 for information.
The dinner, dance and auction scheduled for Saturday, May 22 for Ashlee Gooding had to be canceled. A yard sale is in the works to take the place of the dance. As you may have read from last week’s column, Ashlee is a second grader in Fauquier County’s Grace Miller Elementary School who has been battling leukemia for the last four years.
