The Ordinary has five guest rooms, each named for herbs that the couple love to cook with and grow.
The Oregano room is the smallest, having a full bed and, as with all the rooms, a private bath. The special feature in this bath, however, is the two shower heads, one on each side of the shower for an extraordinary bathing experience.
Also located on the second floor are the Sage and Thyme rooms, and the Lavender suite, each having queen-sized beds.
The Lavender suite also has a wood stove and a clawfoot bathtub and separate shower.
On the first floor, the Rosemary room is fully accessible for those with handicaps, also having a queen-size bed.
Each room is adorned with fresh herbs for which it is named, giving guests a special fragrance to go along with the ambiance of their stay.

According to Fickel, while her love is baking, including muffins, scones and homemade breads, the best part of breakfast is created by Kraditor. His specialties are egg dishes, including made to order omelets, spinach and feta cheese fritatas and quiches.
Kraditor also prepares pancakes and waffles and the couple supports Central Roasters Coffee of Sperryville, serving the brew to guests.
