Each year, Fauquier Hospital presents the Ruth Krusie Excellence in Nursing Award to an outstanding nurse. Ruth Krusie, who worked in the Emergency Department until she became ill in 1986, dedicated her life to nursing. She was a mentor, a teacher, and an inspiration to everyone. Receiving this award is the highest honor bestowed upon a member of the Fauquier Hospital nursing staff.
