in a unanimous roll can vote, members of Washington’s town council approved the 2005-2006 fiscal year budget, with total revenue and expenditures of $2,495,900 each.

Proposed comprehensive plan

Gary Schwartz, chairman of the Town of Washington Planning Commission reported to council that there will be a joint Planning, Commission/Town Council meeting on June 27, which will be the final public meeting for discussion of the town’s proposed comprehensive plan.

Schwartz proposed to have a final presentation of the plan ready for council by July 13. Council advised that a vote on the proposal will take place in the regularly scheduled August Town Council meeting.
