stage and provided brass back up j for an encore. Dos Allen, Patrick 1 Treanor, Evan Espinola, Owen Monroe, Andrew Treanor and band leader Matt Yonkey each took center stage for a solo during the extended jam.
Culinary delights
Beef empanadas were on hand to nibble upon in “Argentina,” but the real feast was out front. For the asking were tender, savory cous cous, Moroccan lamb meatballs (very tasty), baklava, Korean beef barbecue or bul gogi, wrapped in lettuce leaves (tasty and popular among the elementary students) among other dishes.
Throughout both schools, in the various country displays, delicious, culturally appropriate food was ubiquitous. Much was from the RCHS culinaiy program, as well as from the students and teachers in the various classroom “countries” themselves. Hungary naturally had its goulash, for instance. Journeying from country to country was a meandering feast.
