Panther’s final home game

The RCHS football Panthers fell 7-61 to George Mason High School in Falls Church, VA. They will play Strasburg on October 29 in Washington for their final home game. The team’s first year on a district schedule has been difficult, as shown by their 0-7 record. However, the players of RCHS have put forth a strong effort to learn and improve at the game. As Coach Kemp Pullin has repeated on many occasions, every Saturday the Panthers play against larger schools, with long standing football programs. Often,the athletes on those teams have been playing football since they were small children, while the Panthers are still learning the game. “They don’t have a history of football here,” Coach Pullin has said.
Despite this adversity, the Panthers have played hard, and they deserve the support of Rappahannock. Some of this support is already showing, with local mothers driving their kids to Culpeper so they can play Pop Warner and be a Panther one day. Go watch them at home, and let them know you’re out there.
