married Florence Leake on December 25, 1907 and were parents of Mary Virginia, Fairella V., George E., John Henry, Leland L., Anna G., and James S. Coppage.
On the hill behind the house is the family graveyard, nicely kept and well marked. Here on October 15, with much tenderness and respect, descendants cleaned the plot and placed flowers on their ancestors graves.
This day in front of the old house, tables of food were prepared. Here, one more time, a family picture was taken. The old house now in a very bad state, shall soon pass into the realm where it will no longer be recognized as an icon but a heap of rubble of faded memories. Thankfully over the decades photographs were taken, which will be a gentle reminder of days long ago when the familiar sounds of the living were to be heard within her walls.
