James Clinton Bane, Jr., 68, son of Mary Helen Rodd and James Clinton Bane died suddenly October 22, at his residence.

He was bom in Pittsburgh, PA at St. Margaret s Hospital, July 20, 1937.

Most of his childhood was spent in Washington, VA, where he attended Trinity Church.

Mr. Bane was a graduate of Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1959 in mechanical engineering. He spent his career specializing in rocket science. He was an active member of the Trinity Church in Washington, VA, serving on the vestry and as an usher. Mr. Bane was an avid horseman participating in the Bull Run and Rappahannock Hunt Clubs.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marilouise K, his son,
