On Sunday, October 23, Sperryville Volunteer Rescue, Sperryville Volunteer Fire and Castleton Volunteer Fire, and Culpeper Rescue Companies responded to an accident involving recreational ATVs near Slate Mills Road. The victims, both males in their thirties, were riding with a group of other ATVs when two collided head on. Only one of the victims was wearing a helmet.
