County residents at the meeting believe that a new business adjoining that intersection would increase traffic flow through the area. They believe that this would both increase the number of parked cars obscuring the sightlines and attract more cars to the dangerous intersection, resulting in increased accidents. The Salvanos proposed parking lot is intended to alleviate this, but many town residents remain concerned.
