The Middle Street Gallery in Washington, Virginia will be presenting a new show for November entitled “Light Matters” which showcases paintings by Christopher Stephens.
These latest offerings by Stephens are all oil paintings on either panel or canvas in sizes ranging from 8” square to 72x32 inches. They are painted from life and depict scenes in Warren and Rappahannock Counties. Stephens has garnered a reputation for his vibrant depictions of light, season and ambiance of the landscape in this region.
All of the paintings are uniquely framed by the artist.
Well-known throughout the area, Stephens works full time at painting and is adjunct professor of Drawing and Painting at Lord Fairfax Community College in Middletown, Virginia.
