October 28: Flu shots

Flu shots will be given at the Rappahannock County Health Department on Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for high risk patients. Private pay for flu vaccine is $28 and for pneumonia vaccine is $44. Those attending should bring a Medicare card and adults at high risk should bring their Medicaid card.

Rappahannock County Library

There will be a public showing of PBS special “A Family Undertaking” on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library in Washington. This wonderful film explores the growing home-fimeral movement by following several families in their most intimate moments as they reclaim the end of life, foregoing a typical mortuary funeral to care for their loved ones at home.
