Sports Briefs
• The RCHS Panther wrestling team competed in the Louisa Tourney against four other schools in Mineral, Va on Saturday, December 3. While the Panthers didn’t have enough wrestlers to compete in the tourney as a team, some had strong showings individually. Seniors Doss Allen and Alex Sharp, who both werit to the state tournament last year, both went 4-0 in Mineral. The Panthers next match is Wednesday, December 7 in New Market.
• The Panther Varsity Boys Basketball team has gotten off to a slow start, falling to Highland 76-48 on November 30 and then losing to Warren County last Friday 55-37. The team is coming off a winless season and new coach Bob Czekja has high expectations, though he said that the team would need to get used to his system at first.
