Appalachia Project

through December 16

The Rappahannock County High School freshman class is participating in the Appalachia Project through December 16. Donations of new and unwrapped mittens, gloves, blankets and socks can be dropped off in the school’s library media center. Students will box these items and send them to the less fortunate who live in the Appalachian regions of Virginia, Kentucky, West Virginia and Tennessee.

The veterinarians and staff at Rose Hill Veterinary Practice invite you and your pets, large and small, to drop by the clinic on Sunday, December 18, from 1-4 p. m. to celebrate the holidays. The monthly meeting of the Washington Hospitality and Visitors Association will be held on Sunday, December 18 at the Extension Office located on Gay Street in Washington. December 21: Garden Club

Christmas luncheon.

The Rappahannock County Garden Club will hold its Christmas luncheon on Wednesday, December 21 at the Bleu Rock Inn beginning at 12 noon. Members are reminded to bring a small gift to share. Those members who are making centerpieces for display and for judging should arrive promptly. This is an annual affair, and as is traditional, there will be no horticulture displays or judging.
