Supervisors was canceled due to snowy weather. Public hearings on declaring the Hazel River a Tier III State Exceptional Water and on changing the county zoning code to limit when the Board may permit a private sewage treatment facility have been rescheduled for Monday, December 12 at 7 pm at the Courthouse in Washington. The hearing on the Salvano request to change the zoning of a structure at the comer of Fodderstack and US 522 in ^lint Hill from Village Residential to Village Commercial will be held at the Courthouse on January 4 at 7 pm. The Salvanos wish to open an antique, art, framing and gift shop at the location, and would reside there. They own a similar shop in Gainesville. Numerous Flint Hill residents expressed opposition to rezoning at the meeting of the county Planning Commission. The Planning Commission has recommended approving the rezoning request.
