Capital Projects Technician

The Projects Division of the Department of General Services for Loudoun County Government is seeking qualified applicants to work as a member of the project management team and will become familiar with planning criteria and designs of the Capital Improvements projects.Responsibilities include inspecting work per- 1 formed by contractors to ensure work is completed according to construction documents; providing written inspection reports to assigned project manager; participating in project design reviews and participating in progress meetings during active construction. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation, supplemented by building trades course : work and at least four (4) years of directly related experience in building trades. Valid driver's license required. Prefer Master or Journeyman license in electrical or one or more mechanical trades issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Must be able to work in temperature extremes and lift 50 pounds. Some work is hazardous -| because of location (e g. rooftop) or type of work (e.g. high voltage electrical work). Successful candidate will undergo a driver's license check.
