dragged over a far, far hill by a smart red fox.
Where did he go?
I thought about that turkey. I thought about the bear. I thought about the coyote I had shot at. Bears are opportunistic feeders. They will eat berries, grapes, persimmons, nuts, grubs, worms, moles,- bees, honey, and ground squirrels if they can catch them or dig them out, and just about- anything else they can chew up and swallow. If there are bears around where you field dress your deer, there will be nothing there in the morning. Would he eat a coyote? I didn’t know. I began to suspect he might.
