Baptist Church
welcomes pastor
Rev. Dr. Jerry Stanley, a native of Greensboro, North Carolina is the new pastor of the New Salem Baptist Church, here in Boston located on Route 522. He conducted his first service at the church on Sunday, December 4.
Rev. Stanley received his Doctor of Theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary and has been an ordained minister for the past 33 years. The public is invited to attend services there and meet Dr. Stanley and his family. For times of services call, (540) 825-1719.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Mr. Weldon Ellis of Eagle Rock who passed away Wednesday. A brother George Ellis resides here in Boston.
With December days swiftly passing, it’s time to think about Christmas programs. One to which the public is invited, the “Christmas Cantata” takes place at Bethel Baptist Church of Reva Way on Sunday, December 18 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served following the service.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier and family, Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville and Ms. Brenda Frazier of Culpeper, were Thanksgiving Day luncheon guests of Mrs. Holtzman Frazier in Fredricksburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Jake Robinson and son, Tim, have returned home from a week’s trip to visit Mr. Robinson’s mother Mrs. Mae Estminger in Clearwater, Fla.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. James Kendal Peyton of Reva Way, on the arrival of their little daughter, Hannah Grace, at Culpeper Regional Hospital in October.
