5. If one of Rappahannock’s sources of revenue is farming, what effect will such a designation have on our existing fanners who are landowners adjacent to the Hazel River now and in the future? Are there not already good ecological measures in place to help farmers avoid pollution of rivers?
7. Does the Board know of designations of other Tier III rivers that include residential and farm property? What is the experience of the counties where such designations have been made? (My understanding is that current designations are only in non residential/non farm areas, if the designation is made, it would be totally unchartered waters for residential and farm lands.)
