hannock Board of Supervisors several months ago, Rappahannock County Sheriff Larry Sherertz spoke on the subject of the proposed bar at Sunnyside. Referencing past Rappahannock drinking establishments like the Blue Moon, the sheriff expressed concern about the new bar’s location at a highway rest stop. He told the BOS he was worried about rowdy behavior and increased drunk driving on 211.
However, Morgan, who is an Episcopal priest when he’s not running Sunnyside, is aware of these concerns.
“We’re sensitive to the fact that we’re a bar that’s near a main road,” said Morgan, “and that many of our customers will have to drive.”
