December 11: Christmas

lunch with Santa Claus

The Chester Gap Fire & Rescue Department invites you to a Christmas Lunch with Santa Claus on Sunday, December 11 starting at 12:00 p.m.

The cost will be $5 ages 12 and up, $3 ages 7 to 11 and free ages 6 and under.

There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, drinks and desserts.

Christmas Tree Lighting and Caroling too. Come bring the kids and enjoy an afternoon of fun.

December 11: Christmas Breakfast

The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Company will be having a Christmas Breakfast on Sunday, December 11 from 7 a.m. to 1 p. m. Buffet Style will be served. Adults, $7, Children $3 and kids under three eat free. Four by six picture with Santa in'card will be $6. Breakfast to include, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, fried apples, home fries and cereal and milk. December 12: Sushi Night

at The Griffin Tavern

Scrumptious rolls and sashimi platters made especially for you by Chef Matt. This is some of the best sushi you will find around. Warm or cold sake also served.

December 13: Dart League

at The Griffin Tavern

Games start at 7 p.m. There is a $5 entry fee. Come in and sign up and play with some of the best arrow men in the county. Try for a tournament trophy at season’s end.

Remember to drink lots of fluids — water or juice are best — the day before and the day of the blood drive. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and fatty foods. To give blood, you must be generally healthy, 17 years of age of more, and weigh at least 110 pounds.

December 14: Winter Concert at Rappahannock County High School

Come out and hear some sensational holiday music as the Rappahannock County High School Band performs on Wednesday, December 14, in the auditorium at the high school. Concert starts at 7 p.m. but come early for the silent auction and raffle. In addition to a wide variety of holiday baskets, there are some special items like a 45-minute ride in Mark Allen’s bi-plane. The jazz ensemble and chorus will be performing as well. It’s a great way to get in the holiday spirit and support your local musicians.
