Last year’s paper included reports written by the campers on their experiences. They looked inside a hive of honeybees and learned to identify the queen bee. They spent a whole day with sheep and a herding dog brought to the camp from Mt. Vernon Farm, and learned to clean, card, spin and make yam with wool. They caught and released turtles, moths, little ring-necked snakes, and a baby possum. And we all camped out for one night on a nearby grassy hilltop.
