New ARB members
The Washington Town Council voted two new faces, Michelle Schwartz and John Sullivan, onto the town’s ARB on Wednesday. Schwartz is a long time resident of Washington, and owns and operates the Heritage House Bed and Breakfast along with her husband Gary Schwartz, Chairman of the Town Planning Commission. Schwartz’ term will expire in July of2009. John Sullivan is a newcomer to the town, but has lived in Flint Hill for several years. Recently, he purchased property in the town and began operating a small bed and breakfast in conjunction with the Middleton Inn.
Sullivan’s term will expire in February f 2008. Mayor Eugene Leggett cited Sullivan’s plan to put his newly acquired Washington land into conservation easement as “raising him in [Legget’s] estimation.”
