Employment Counselor

Position with the Employment, Training and Family services Division of Social. Services. Duties include providing complex casework, including employment counseling and career guidance to a diverse population who face barriers to employment including layoff. Services are provided through the Workforce Investment Act. Must understand and have the ability to apply Labor Market Information to local employment trends and individual customer's situation. Must be able to administer assessments and provide interpretation. Guide customers in job preparation including resume writing. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree, with courses in human services, counseling or employment related field and 2 years related experience.
