As an extension of 89.9, the new 90.5 WJYJ also will be strong in community involvement, promotion of the family unit and help for those in need. Last year, WPER raised more than $23,000 for victims of Hurricane Katrina, and another $26,000 was given to families in need during the holiday season through Operation Stocking Stuffier.
