Supervising Zoning Inspector
Building and Development
Position with the Department of Building & Development, Zoning Division. Directly supervises Zoning Inspectors assigned to the Enforcement Team. Responsible for monitoring the Zoning Enforcement Complaint Hotline; interacting with members of the public and staff regarding potential zoning violations; tracking violation complaints from initial receipt through resolution and managing an active case load. Provides assistance to Zoning Inspectors with site inspections, Notices of Violation and preparing cases for action by the County Attorney. Manages ticketing program and other duties as assigned by Enforcement Program Manager, Zoning Administrator and Department Director. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Zoning/Planning, Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related field a°d 2 years related experience to include supervisory experience. Must have a valid driver's license. A working knowledge of Zoning and other applicable Ordinances of Loudoun County and C2A/CZO certification are desired. Must be willing to work non-traditionai work schedule as required by assignments. Annual driving record check.
