February 19: Tea and Sour
Ki Theatre is sponsoring a slide show/lecture on art and photography by freelance photojournalist Richard Lykes on Sunday afternoon, February 19. The event is part of an annual series of informal gatherings during the winter months in private homes with shared food and presentations by creative artists, authors, photographers, filmmakers, and others in our community. Although open to all on a “first-come” basis, these events are held in private homes and space is limited. Tickets are $15 each and reservations are available by calling Ki Theatre at (540) 987-3164.
February 20: Chess anyone?
Beginning in February, every Monday night at Griffin Tavern in Flint Hill - will be Chess League Night. Come to the pub from 7-9 p.m., sign up with Chess Master John Maxwell (author of the chess book Blitz Theory) and battle your opponent on our beautifully designed chess tables courtesy of Richard Olah. February 20: RLEP Meeting
at the Washington Town Hall
The February meeting of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection, normally held at the Library, will be held on Monday, Feb. 20, at the Washington Tbwn Hall, located on Gay Street at the end opposite from the Court House. Socializing begins at 7:00 with the business meeting to follow at 7:30.
