Of the few passes made in the game, however, was a 63 yard touchdown as quarterback Jonathon Butler threw to Irving Smith. Butler also scored a four yard for a touchdown in the first half. Sophomore Daniel Rollins was able to intercept a Chincoteauge pass, completing a 40 yard touchdown, and kicked five extra points for the Panthers.

The team was thrilled to have their first win of the season. “We were having some rough times, but, I am glad we got that win,” said Gessner, “Now that we’ve got that win we should be over the hump, hopefully. Gessner said that he hopes that the team does not get over confident. “It’s definitely not the time to relax, now that we are getting into the district,” Czekaj added.
