to m M On Wednesday evening October 18, Democratic challenger Jim Nachman again meets with Rappahannock voters in hia campaign to replace incumbent Eric Cantor, a Republican House whip, as the Seventh District ■ Representative in the United States Congress. Jim has already addressed campaign gatherings in Amissville and Harris Hollow. Next Wednesday he comes to the southern part of the County, to meet with > Rappahannock residents at the Slate Mills farm of Wendy and Bob Weinberg, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. All Rappahannock voters who would like to meet and support Jim are cordially invited to attend the event. The entrance to the farm is on Passfield Lane, which runs off Quaintance Road (Route 607) where it intersects with Slate Mills Road (Route 707). Please RSVP if possible, to 640-547-3993, so that * ample refreshments can be planned. Anyone who would like to act as a sponsor for the event is requested to call the same number. ■ 4 Jim’s talk on October 18 will address the importance of v.. providing new leadership on the Hill: a Democratic msyority in the House and Senate will better protect both our national security interests abroad and our social security and Medicare programs at home. Independent commentators, such as Charlie Cook of Cook Reports, are showing trends that make such Democratic majorities attainable in 2006, and Seventh District voters will benefit from having g|a Representative and a Senator who are part of these new majorities, Nachman believes. The Seventh District contest provides an ideal oppor- ’ tunity for a true referendum on the record of the current ; Republican Congress and the Bush Administration. Voters who do not approve of that Republican record can make that known on Election Day by voting for the Democratic challenger in the Seventh District, Jim Nachman, instead of Republican incumbent Eric Cantor.
