Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).
Its most pressing meaning for the Lions Club is transporting 50 bushels of cut up apples to Keezletown and transporting back the same in gallons of apple butter!
It goes without saying that the manpower necessary has its work cut out for them.
This year some 30 persons started at 6 a.m. in the morning and returned back to Rappahannock sometime after 10 p.m. that evening.
Their work is well worth it so plan to stock up.
If you don’t get to the coop this Saturday, check the Upcoming Events section in the Rappahannock News for future locations where you can find it.
Prices for this apple butter treat are $5 for a pint and $7 for a quart.
