On Sunday, October 15, at 3 p.m., the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP) will sponsor the showing of A1 Gore’s hit movie about global warming at The Theatre in Washington, Virginia. Tickets will be available at the box office starting 30 minutes before the show for $6 per adult and free for students. The movig is rated PG and has a run time of 100 minutes.
“An Inconvenient Truth,” narrated by former vice president A1 Gore and directed by cinematographer Davis Guggenheim, is based on Gore’s recently published book of the same title. The film has received rave reviews nationally and is a “must see” for everyone who cares enough about our globe to save it. The setting of the movie is a lecture hall in which A1 Gore presents his slide show on global warming to a live audience—something he had already done over a thousand times around the world.
Mr. Gore’s presentation is compelling and passionate. At the same time, he is relaxed and witty, which makes this movie particularly enjoyable to watch, despite its very serious and worrisome topic.
