ASSISTANT MANAGER

RECREATION CENTER Parks, Recreation and Community Services Position available at the new Claude Moore Reereation Center in Sterling. VA Manage the facility operations maintenance work plan to ensure efficient and effective building operations. Provide customer satisfaction by creating a sale, clean, secure and aesthetically pleasing environment. Knforce facility rules and regulations tor participant use of the facility. Oversee the purchase of equipment and supplies. Schedule activities, rentals and facility usage. Manage the operations of a multi use fitness area. Knowledgeable in all current equipment and the proper usage Create guidelines that would cover all personal training issues following all existing county guidelines. Assist the center Manager with the development and implementation of the facility program management plan. Oversee program planning to maintain a w ide variety of program choices, and to meet revenue expectations. Supervise staff and manage center operations in the absence of the Center Manager. Handle customer service concerns in accordance with center and departmental guidelines Must be willing to work flexible schedule. Any combination o! education and experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree in Leisure Service. Athletic Administration. Physical Lducation or related field. Three years directly related experience in program and facility management working with the public, groups and organizations which must include a minimum ot I year supervisory experience. Pool Operators license and training on facility specific building and pool systems to he obtained within 6 months ot hire Requires CPR first Aid. Valid drivers license.
