box-style ambulance through Marque. While the new ambulance will look a lot like the old ambulance on the outside, on the inside it’ll be a whole different story. The new ambulance, as mentioned before, will be a F450 compared to the F350 currently being used which means the new ambulance will have a lot more of the power needed to rush emergency help to wherever it may be needed up here, (up being the key word) on the mountain. Also the inside of the box itself will have a lot of features normally found on much more expensive units and that also make providing that emergency care much easier on those folks who jump out of bed at 3 a.m, to provide it!

Don’t be fooled though, this much-needed piece of equipment still comes with a hefty price tag, which, while 80 percent will be picked up through a grant, still leaves the Fire Department with anywhere from $8,000 to $11,000 to pay for its part.
