worked on magazine stories about the Conyers House, Pete Cecere’s folk art collection, Charlie and Paige Coomb’s log home, the Beard’s log cabin, as well as the latest edition of Home & Design’s story on the art scene in Rappahannock, County. Esther and Franklin were privileged to write the cover story for Arts& Antiques Magazine,which featured the home and studio^ of the late sculptor Frederick Hart. Mr. Hart died before the magazine, was printed; the Schmidts now cherish their memories of the weeks they spent with the distinguished artist.
The couple has published two books, “Cabin Kitchen and Baths,” and “Victorian Kitchens & Baths.” They also did the photography for a third book, “Prefab Homes”. They will be returning from their latest project, which took them to three different locations in the New Orleans area. This project for “Victorian Homes” will be titled, “Hope and Renewal.” They will share that experience with us, too.
Please join us Friday, Oct. 13 for October’s Second Friday at the Library Series which starts at 8 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Public Library. There is no charge for the program and reservations are not needed.
