4-H GPS Club
(6th - 8th graders)
Club members of this new 4-H Club will ei\joy learning to use a hand held GPS unit, using Geospatial technology, and learning to Geocache. Geocaching involves inputting latitude and longitude coordinates into a GPS unit and searching for a nearby cache (or treasure!). To learn more about Geocaching, go to www.geocaching.com. This club will be FUN and will teach its participants useful information about GPS.
The next Club meeting will be October 19, 3:30-4:30 at Rappahannock High School, room 112. Elementary students who wish to join this 4H Club can take a bus to the H.S. Ron Vickers can be reached at rcvickers@rappahannock.kl2.va.us .
