! Position available with the Department of
Community Corrections. Position is responsible for interviewing and investigating incarcerated pretrial defendants charged with violating criminal laws and evaluating their suitability for community supervision. PreI pates bond recommendations/risk assessments for Court. Supervises defendants placed into the program by the Courts which includes monitoring all conditions of bond, drug testing, criminal record checks and treatment verification. Testifies in Court as needed. Completes the defendants' application for Court-appointed legal counsel. Requires a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, psychology or related field and three years directly related experience in criminal justice or counseling. Six months experience working on individual and/or team projects, and functional or operational administrative experience within the criminal justice system is I preferred. Must have a VCIN Operators Cer! tilication or obtain w ithin six months of hire. !
