We respond to threats to our Rappahannock way of life by occasionally packing the courthouse for a public hearing. And yet important business takes place at every meeting of the supervisors, the Planning Commission, and at school and county budget hearings. These are open meetings and public comment is welcomed at each. Our supervisors benefit from citizen input. Too often we say that the world has changed, that we are too busy, that the issues are too complex or the results too small.
