that both Esther and Franklin got the courage to give up their city lives and careers in academia to pursue their passions as professional, full time, photo journalists.
Esther had an early experience in photographing children for their student pictures. She had been shown a school picture of a child at Sursam Corda by a very proud parent. But being a photographer she knew the picture was the worst quality she had ever seen and her heart went out to the mother. She vowed to help and started taking the school pictures herself so the parents and children could have the best memories they could.
The couple gradually moved to photographing food, home interiors, and residential architecture. They have been contributing field editors to over fifteen national and regional magazines. Many times they are contacted to shoot and write a particular story but they have achieved such a reputation in the field that they are now able to follow their own interests and write and shoot subjects of their choice.
