Lucky and Eileen Yilmaz behind the counter at Apple Hill Bakery on it’s last day, Monday, Sept. 3. Long time customer and local photographer Ted Pellegatta has announced plans to reopen the Sperryville bakery in approximately two weeks under a new name. Pellegatta has worked for several restaurants and has his own brand of cooking. He also plans to bring in guest chefs. Staff members Valerie Gallow and Helen Fletcher will stay on board, he said.
