bought a Harley that was built in 1945, or at least parts of it were. And, he also bought a really nice, practically new Harley. And that’s not a bad thing. If I bought one, I’d need someone to share the open road with me. I just don’t know if the instincts and the feel are still there.
I am not unaware of the present controversy or discussion about motorcycles and riding in Rappahannock County. In my humble opinion, motorcycle riders are just like anybody else who uses the public roads. There are peaceful, law-abiding motorcycle riders, and there are those who are not. Some break all the laws, and some just send your eardrums looking for a place to hide. Those are the “look at me” riders, who make lame excuses about the noise they make being a safety feature. Talk to the hand.
I rode two wheelers for years, and always enjoyed them. I had everything from a chopped, 17-inch extended front end, hard tail, to a 1000cc BMW with all the fairings and fixings.
