Health Care Listening Tour. This event, organized by the Virginia Interfaith Center on Public Policy, will take place at the Powell Wellness Center in Culpeper. Attendees will have the opportunity to answer the question “What do you think the health care system should provide for all people?” Public input from this and other stops throughout Virginia will be used to develop two important documents: A Health Care Bill of Rights to guide decision-makers and a white paper on state legislation that might be needed to improve the health care system. Board Members”
"Building Blocks for Board Members" being presented Friday, Sept. 14, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Schoolhouse in Sperryville. The program is designed to help both experienced board members and those who might consider joining a board. Sample forms and resource materials will be provided to participants. A networking session, including an opportunity to discuss specific questions with the presenter, will follow the formal program, along with refreshments. The event is hosted by the Rappahannock Nonprofit Center and presented by VANNO (Virginia Network of Nonprofit Organizations), with Alcoa Foundation grant support.
