Internet access study
The task force studying Internet access in Rappahannock County will prepare a report to present to the Board of Supervisors in November or December. The Board approved the appointments of Jeff Turner and Doug Schifftnan to the task force.
Revision to zoning
codes hearing
The Board agreed to a public hearing next month to consider revisions to county zoning codes that will bring them into accordance with state codes. County Attorney Peter Luke said the new codes would allow for greater punishment, of repeat offenders. Open burning ban hearing
The Board agreed to a public hearing at its next meeting to consider granting authority to the county administrator to ban open burning during times of drought. Under the proposal, a ban would take effect after declared by the county administrator but would need to be ratified by the Board of Supervisors at its next meeting.
