Rappahannock News Staff PtrottVKavin Aflen COUNTRY CONCIERGE: Town of Washington resident Lisa Leftwich’s new service takes care of errands that clients don’t have time to do themselves.
Leftwich says her time in real estate made her an expert at negotiating with subcontractors, obtaining permits and the myriad other tasks associated with maintaining properties. That experience was very helpful in developing the skills she needed to start Country Concierge.
Leftwich says concierge businesses are springing up in other areas of the country where there are a lot of residents with second homes.
“It’s getting to be a really popular service,” she said. “I think people are really busy and overly committed. They’re trying to do too much with their time.”
It’s that aspect of today’s society that makes her type of business so important and so fulfilling, she says. “I find joy in knowing I’m helping people live better, less hectic lives.”
