Franklin and Esther Schmidt of Woodville will have a busy winter. They have signed contracts to write and photograph two books, both slated for publication in 2008.
One title is a revision of their book, Cabin Kitchens & Baths, which was published in' 2005 by Gibbs Smith Publisher. This book was rated by Amazon as the third best selling kitchen design book. Since the hardcover edition is now sold out, the publisher has decided to reissue the book as Cabin Kitchens and publish it in a paperback format for wider circulation.
A Russian paperback edition of the same book was recently released for the Eastern European market.
The Schmidts are refreshing the text and images for the reprint. Several Rappahannock County residents have had a part in this book.
