County and Town Meetings and Notices • On Thursday, Sept. 6, the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Courthouse on Gay Street. •OnTuesday, Sept. 11, the Rappahannock County School Board will meet at 7 p.m. in closed session and at 7:30 p.m. for the public session at RCHS band room. • On Wednesday, Sept 12, The Town of Washington will hold its regularly scheduled Town Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. Highlights from the agenda include a presentation by Dave Cubbage of VDoT on speed calming devices, wastewater and waterworks updates, consideration of a meeting date to continue the review of the Historic District Ordinance, and a report on a meeting with the Rappahannock Rapidan Regional Commission.
