Shifflett and District Commander Mike Griffen informed Post 1150 Commander Lee Hitt that his post's charter may be revoked.
"They came to my house unannounced, just drove up with two guys,” Hitt said. “It really upset me •and I taH them they were out of their minds.”
Hitt said he has not heard from VFW officials since that confrontation. The post's charter was scheduled to be revoked Sept. 3, but that has not happened. The decision is still pending at the VFW’s national headquarters in Kansas City Mo.
